Mask Pedestal (Wind-Up Chamber in the UK version) is a puzzle in Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask. The puzzle must be solved in order to progress the story. Four mysterious pillars have risen up! The ruins' mechanism will activate when the arrows on each pillar point to the center.

This is similar to a lights out puzzle, but not quite. Four pillars surround the center point of the room. Each pillar has an arrow pointing a direction, none of which are pointing at the center. Each pillar has a symbol on it, and buttons with the same symbols are surrounding the pillars. By stepping on a button, that pillar rotates. Your goal is to get all four pillars' arrows to point toward the center of the room.Of course, it's not just that simple. Leap year birthday driver's license.

The buttons must be pressed in pairs, so you can't rotate one pillar without rotating another. Further, you can't press the same pair of buttons multiple times in a row.You can solve this in four moves, but you have unlimited time in case you wish to try this on your own.
