The time has come, ladies and Mega Men. A brand new entry in the series has finally been released 8 years in the making, available on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The game starts off with a flashback, to Light and Wily's days in University. Specifically the point where Light's research was chosen over Wily's. This turns out to have been a dream Wily was having, but it happened to give him an idea on what his next move should be.Cut to the Light residence, we have the family performing maintenance on some Robot Masters.
However, this annual checkup is suddenly interrupted by Wily busting in to gloat about the finished design for his old Double Gear system. He then uses it to snag the robots scheduled for maintenance, in order to use them for his plans. Mega Man suits up to head out, but not before getting equipped with the prototype of the Double Gear system that Light held on to. Mega Man X is a popular platform game developed by Capcom, released for the SNES in 1993 and ported to PC in 1995.It holds the distinction of being the first Mega Man game for the SNES, as well as the first game in the Mega Man X series. The Mega Man X series is a spin-off of the popular Mega Man series. The game was released in 1993, and has since been ported and remade on other platforms like Playstation 2, Gamecube, MS-DOS, Mobile Phones, Playstation Portable, and PC.The plot of the game features a futuristic setting. Humans and “Reploids”, sentient robots, live there in harmony and less than harmony. Many Reploids commit nefarious acts. These troublemaking Reploids are refered to as Mavericks. Mega Man X, our protagonist, is a Reploid Hunter.
A Note on “Coconut Queen 2”. The story outline for “Coconut Queen 2” was finished shortly after the cut scenes for “Coconut Queen” was done, so it’s not quite ready for production but I have a good idea of what it would be like. X must hunt down Sigma, a maverick attempting to bring about human extinction.This game is a gem. Despite its age it still feels brand new. It's a classic platformer that will leave you wanting more. The controls are solid, the music is rockin' and the gameplay is addictive. My only problem with the game is its length.
