After all, a team could not function and succeed without the harsh discipline of the Master and Riko, the Foxes’ win had to be a miracle and a fluke. The foxhole court tv show. He did not bother hoping they would be kind or a major improvement over the Ravens, he knew how this worked. He resigned himself to the fact that his treatment the Trojans would only be marginally better than the Ravens.
The Rocket Pack enables you to zip through the air faster than the eye can see by simply holding down a button and releasing it. With the Pack, you can even make Sparkster ricochet off structures like a billiard ball. Beat Captain Fleagle's Robot Boss in Stage 4 by standing towards the far left of the screen and dodging the falling machinery. Then, move within range and blast him right after he fires each Energy Ball. As you ride the Stage 3's Walker Platform through the lava, you may have to jump down temporarily to escape some owls.In addition to his hardware, Sparkster's got a nifty prehensile tail (as all opossums do). With it, you can literally hang with the bad boys and slide like a greased pig along railings and tree limbs.
An Audio/Visual AssaultBy now it should be pretty clear to any gamer with eyeballs that Konami's got 16-bit graphics down. The graphic style is cartoony and Konami clean. Smurfs village storage. Sparkster, his friends, and his foes are cute critters, but the Pig War Machines steal this picture show. They're big, imaginative, and fun. In Stage 1, it's easier to bust the Pig Tank on the bridge if you jump behind it.The game also treats you to some outstanding scenery.
There are awesome areas, like rising and falling lava that forces you to jump by using a reflection off its surface. There's also a shimmering scene where you must jump back and forth through a waterfall.RK's sounds are sweet. The effects are clean and cool, especially blasts and explosions. The music complements the action nicely. A Knight in Shining ArmorRocket Knight Adventures is good, solid fun.
The graphics may not be mean enough to suit the dark fancy of some hack-n-slash fanatics, but Sparkster's jet-propelled speed will blow your doors off, and the action swings. In his debut, Sparkster will go on the warpath across seven levels against an army of porcine punks, who are led by Axle Gear the Black Knight.
An empire of pigs has invaded Sparkster's homeland in a far-out world of swords, sorcery, and machines. The pugnacious 'possum will barbecue the pigs with his mean power blade that emits a short-range burst of energy, but he has much more than that up his metal sleeves. Sparkster's space-age suit of armor sports a rocket pack that can propel him to supersonic speeds. You'll power up the rockets by holding down a controller button. Release the button and Sparkster zooms across the screen faster than the eye can see (literally)! He'll blast off into the sky or zip along the ground, depending on which way you aim him with the directional pad. At some locations, he'll even ricochet off the walls.
The hairy hero will also use his prehensile tail to grab hold of tree limbs and other structures.Konami's fine command of Genesis graphics is already evident in early versions of the game, which bodes well for the final product. So far, Sparkster sports killer looks (for a little fuzzy guy). The piggy adversaries cruise around in some of the weirdest, nastiest-looking military vehicles this side of a galactic pig sty. Moreover, it appears he'll face unusually large Porker attackers and huge Porker bosses.
Bring Home the BaconSparkster's preparing to put a little spark into your video gaming life. An opossum it is! But this sure ain't no ordinary tail hangin' critter! This one is equipped with a superbly designed, state-of-the-art battlesuit! Speaking of which, your main enemy in this game is a bunch of orc-like pigs with all sorts of weaponry at their disposal. There are also plenty of bosses and midbosses to tackle and practice your skills upon to achieve better responses to the opossums actions.
Beautiful detail is a highlight in this cart, and the overall cute atmosphere is quite humorous and will keep one entertained for an exceptionally long time. So stay tuned for more coverage on this soon-to-be sleeper hit by Konami!
Rocket Knight Adventures Review by: - 9/10 Fantastic! This is one of those amazing games that takes something completely ridiculous and makes it not only fun, but extremely cool. Sparkster the Rocket Knight, an opossum in armor and wearing a jet pack and wielding a sword. How could you go wrong with that? Sega and Konami seem to have a knack for making anthropomorphic animals cool.
Graphics: The graphics are spectacular, on the level with games like Sonic the Hedgehog and other amazing games in this era. The way the characters were drawn gives it a sort of epic cartoony feel, one that makes it still feel like you have to save the day, but it's not hard and gritty. It takes a special group of people to throw goggles and a jet pack on a possum, give him a sword, and make him look epic, even while hanging upside down from a tree.
Sound: That music makes you feel like you could strap on a jet pack, grab your sword, and go out and make some pork chops from evil pigs invading your kingdom yourself. It has a heroic feel to it that helps keep this pork popping possum cool. The only thing is it's repetitive. The stage music doesn't change, at least through the first few stages. The in between music changes, and still has that heroic ring to it, along with Sparkster in a different heroic pose for each stage. Addictiveness: Even though the difficulty is fairly high up there, I find myself coming back to it again and again after subsequent defeats. It has a certain appeal to it that even though I'm getting my prehensile tail whipped, I still want to get right back up and whip the baddies curly ones.
Story: Two warring kingdoms, betrayals, kidnappings, and ancient. Yes, this game has the PORKSTAR, obviously based of the weapon of doom of Star Wars fame. This game has a very interesting story, and is one of the things that will keep you coming back for more. Depth: There's only six stages, and with some practice, you will be zipping through them in no time. The game play offers much though. Through part of the stage, you're walking, slashing your sword at enemies, and charging your jet pack to shoot off toward the sky or a wall, or even to do a spin slash in place.
A few smashed pig bots later, you're flying through the sky in a side scrolling shooter, taking down parachuting pigs popping projectiles at you. It also makes use of Sparkster's prehensile tail, gripping onto tree branches to move on to new areas. Difficulty: It can take a bit to figure out how to defeat each boss. There were moments when I thought a boss was impossible to defeat, but after a while you find it's weak point and remember it's pattern, and that pig goes down. You have to think a bit to figure out how to get through some of the levels, but eventually, you figure it out and pigs start perishing. All in all, it's a fantastic game, with an interesting plot and amazing, fun graphics. The music makes you want to pick up a sword in real life and start smashing pig-built robots, and the slight difficulty and intriguing story keeps you coming back for more.
Graphics 10 Sound 9 Addictive 8 Depth 7 Story 8 Difficulty 6. He's courageous! He's one good lookin' opossum. It's Sparkster the Rocket Knight, the heroic jet pack jockey with warp speed, quick wits and pumped up personality. After all, who else do you know can get a grip with his tail? Rocket through 7 epic stages of animalistic adventure, home of the hugest, strangest enemy pig creatures imaginable.
(In fact, your mission is crammed with more ham than a Hollywood premier.) Destroy the Emperor who's on a porcine power trip that will take him to the Key to the Pig Star. In every stage you'll be moving, flying and riding in a new direction to escape opossum punishment. You're the thrust-meister controlling Sparkster's jet pack and his assault sword. Confront mechanized menaces like the Giant Pigbot, the Drill Of A Lifetime, and the snappy Crab Rangoon.
Things take a turn for the worst in the room of rotating gravity where Axle Gear, the Black Knights awaits you. And you've never seen anything like the unreal mirrored lava pools where things will reflect badly on you. The tricks, the traps and challenges never end. But the world as you know it will if you don't grind those pigs for sausage.
