When I first saw this game i thought it was going to be a real cheesy pretend game, but when i played it on a Demo Machine at a Wal-Mart in Eugene, Oregon, i totally got hooked on it right away, and played every Demo i saw in every store we went to.

Then my wife bought it for me for Christmas, along with several other music Disks, and i have not stopped playing it since, (except to do other things that have to be done). It is very realistic music wise, and the instruments actually interact with the music, as well as with the special effects slider bar and wha wha lever. When i heard of guitar hero world tour i wanted to buy it so i did. My mom put in 10 my sister 25 and me about 140. We used site to stroe so it took about a week and a half. When i got it I was soo happy to put it together. The microphone is very nice, the guitar is cool becase you can change the face plate and the up down left and right contol thing is very helpful. But the drums are best of all and build very nicely. I'd give the game a 9.5 out of 10, way better than rockbandin how the game is more functional and the instruments are build better.

I know theres a lot of people having problems with the drums. But there is help.

If you go to the manufacturers web site, there is a midi cable that they will give you free, to tune your drums. Once you receive the cable you can download a program that allows you to tune your drums.

The drums are all set at 10, but if you feel the response isn't so great on the cymbals. You can beef it up a bit. The guitar I think is fantastic.

I'm a real guitar player, and I just love this new guitar, versus any other guitar hero or rockband guitar. If you prefer an easier game then choose the rockband. Rockband 2 is being released but consider the cymbals are not included, I believe you have to purchase seperatly, plus you have to buy the port. So for 179.00, on the guitar hero I feel your getting a much better product. Plus your getting a recording studio.

I bought this game as a gift for my kids and unfortunately found out my PS2 is the older model so it can't read the game. I called the # on the game and they even told me that it doesn't always work on the older model PS2's.

The only way we can play it is if my brother brings his PS2 over or if I get a new one. The Wal-Mart policy says you can only bring back unopened games or I'd exchange it for the Wii version. I wish I had bought that one in the first place.When my brother brought his PS2 over ONCE it did seem like a fun game but we are not gonna get a chance to play much because I don't really have a new PS2 in the budget at the moment.I can understand why Wal-Mart has their policy but I think Guitar Hero should be forced to put a disclaimer on the box so others are aware that it just might not work. My suggestion is if you are gonna buy the game get it for the Wii, XBox 360 or PS3.
